Swedish & Deep Tissue Massage: $65 for 60 minutes; $90 for 90 minutes
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, greater flexibility and improved blood circulation. Deep Tissue Massage releases the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons and fascia. It focuses on the deeper layer of muscle tissue. I do incorporate active, passive and facilitated stretching during these sessions.

Hot-Stone Massage: $80 for 75 minutes; $100 for 90 minutes
Hot Stone Massage, an ancient form of healing, not used to replace the hands, is an adjunct to enhance the massage therapy session. The heated stones allow for deeper relaxation and prepares those body parts for deeper massage techniques. The stones act as an extension of the hands. During this massage both stones and hands will be used. Chilled stones are used for areas of inflammation and pain. The combination of both balance the yin and yang and energizes the person. It can also be used for flushing techniques in Sports Massage. Stone massage adds new components to the massage session. Stones invite a spiritual and energetic component, decrease inflammation when cool stones are integrated, flush toxins with the use of hot and cold stones, and bring the client to a deeper state of relaxation.
Sport Massage: $40 for 30 minutes; $65 for 60 minutes; $90 for 90 minutes
Sports Massage is classified into three main categories: maintenance, event and rehabilitation. Maintenance massage is a regular program of massge to help the athlete reach optimal performance through injury-free training. Event massage takes place before, during and/or after competition to supplement an ahtlete's warm up, readying the athlete for top performance, and/or to reduce the muscle spasms and metabolic build-up that occurs with vigorous exercise. Such techniques enhance the body's recovery process, improving the athletes return to high-level training and competition, and reducing the risk of injury. Rehabilitation massage techniques are effective in the management of both acute and chronic injuries.
