About Me

I graduated from a 1,300-hour massage therapy course from an AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) recognized school in Milwaukee, WI, with honors, in 1981.  I started my profession as the primay massage therapist and practitioner at the Sheraton in Steamboat Springs, CO, where I worked until 1984.  I gained great experience massaging many visiting skiers and local clientele.  I then moved my practice to the Denver/Boulder area where I have been practicing since.  I worked at an athletic club in Boulder for 21 years where I was able to be assistant manager for 6 years.  During that time I assisted in creating the chair massage program set up in the lobby at the club.  It was a very successful business attracting those people who did not have the time for a full-body massage but could treat themselves to a 10-30 minute chair massage.  I left that setting to focus on my Massage & Spinal Reflex Therapy (SRT) Practice  in 2007.  I began focusing on adding SRT to my practice in 2005.  I now have my Masters in SRT and belong to the Spinal Reflex Therapy International Company Organization as a core distributor and certified practitioner and instructor.  I have assisted teaching SRT in CO, TN, IA, & OH.  I was also a Touch For Health Kinesiology Instructor, having taught in CO, NV, IL, AZ and Holland from 1982-2010.

My professional affiliations are as follows:  Professional member of the AMTA since 1985, Professional member of the International Touch For Health Kinesiology Association (ITFHKA) since 1982, Nationally Ceritified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork since 1999, member of Madison Who's Who  2012 Executive and Professional Registy, having demonstrated exemplary achievement and  distinguished contributions to the business community, and I am licensed with the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)  here in CO.

I am very dedicated to the massage therapy profession having served as a Past-President of the AMTA.  In fact, I served on the AMTA National Board in different areas for 15 years total since 1990.  I have also served on the AMTA CO Chapter Board as Director of Education for 2 years, 2nd VP/Membership Chair for 4 years, and Event Sports Massage Team Director for 3 years.  I gained a great deal of knowledge serving in those areas from being the leader of the association, being trained as a media spokesperson for the profession, helping design and teach a sports massage calibration course to the team, and volunteering in many capacities for the Massage Therapy Foundation.  I also have many hours of volunteering massage services for various fund raisers.

I have received the following awards:  AMTA National President's Award in 2010, AMTA CO Chapter Sports Massage Team's Sports Massage Achiever Award in 2006, AMTA CO Chapter Distinguished Service Award as Director of Education in 1990, and the AMTA Chapter Meritorious Award in 1991 and 2008.

Since learning SRT, I have witnessed more amazing results with clients who are in chronic pain and have some problems with limited mobility.  These clients, who used to see me 1 or 2 times per week, are now seeing me once a month for maintenance.  I combine this work with Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage therapy sessions integrating stretching and various specialties I mentioned on my home page depending upon the clients needs and desires. I see people of all ages and occupations.  You will be pleased with my experience, passion and dedication to my sessions in achieving results.
